Marie’s Heart Cookies (aka “Half-hearted Valentines”)

  1. Mix all cookie ingredients together, divide dough into half, wrap in waxed paper and chill.

    Roll out dough to 1/4 “ thick and cut out heart shapes.  Place 1 “ apart on ungreased cookie sheets and bake 7-10 minutes at 375, until edges lightly browned.  Cool completely.

    For glaze, melt chocolate bits with butter, dip ½ of each heart into chocolate, refrigerate on waxed paper lined cookie sheet until firm.  Store covered in fridge.
