Nonna’s Sauce

Cook Time 3 hrs Total Time 3 hrs



    • Put enough oil to cover bottom of large stock pot
    • Sliver garlic, add to pot - do not burn garlic
    • Remove garlic and put aside
    • Place pork chops in pot, cooking on medium heat until lightly browned on both sides
    • Remove pork chops and put aside
    • Put the peeled tomatoes in a bowl & crush with your hands into small pieces, add to pot
    • Add tomato sauce, garlic, and pork chops
    • Dice parsley, add to pot
    • Add 1/2 gallon water
    • Bring to boil, stirring occasionally, lower heat to simmer setting
    • Cook for 3-4 hours - do not cover pot
    • Sauce should boil down and thicken - remember to stir occasionally to avoid burning the bottom
