You can use this recipe with any topping. I prefer buffalo chicken over pepperoni because its less greasy and dough will bake nicely.

Slim Jim’s Buffalo Chicken Calzones

Servings: 8



  1. Take dough out 1 hour before, until it doesn't shrink when stretched.

  2. Heat oven to 400.

  3. Flour counter, stretch out dough.  Cut into 4 pieces.

  4. Combine ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan cheeses with pepper.

  5. Pull the chicken and toss in buffalo sauce.

    • Divide out chicken onto dough. 
    • Keep to one side of dough. 
    • Place cheese mix on top of chicken.
  6. Fold the dough over the top and pinch to seal the edges.

  7. Stir egg with water to make egg wash.  Brush over the top of calzones.

    • Transfer to pizza stone or sprayed baking sheet. 
    • Cook 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
  8. Serve with marinara sauce.
