Ingredients
  • 1 pound bacon (sliced into approx. 1 1/2 inch pieces - I just cut the pound into 5ths, then pull apart the slices)
  • 1 pound pasta (your choice - Tony prefers spaghetti, the rest of us prefer farfalle (bow-tie) or cavatappi)
  • 1/2 cup pasta water (reserved from cooked pasta)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 egg (1-2 eggs, depending how creamy you like it)
  • 1 cup cheese (parmesan (to taste))
  • black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
    1. Cook bacon slices in large frying pan until crisp, stirring constantly.
    2. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to directions, drain (reserving some of the pasta water). 
    3. Add butter to hot pasta, mix well. 
    4. Add eggs, mix well (the heat of the pasta will cook the eggs).  If necessary, add back in some of the pasta water to make creamy.
    5. Add bacon and cheese, mix well.
    6. Liberally pepper.
